Project Description

To combat cultural isolation and cultivate lasting, cross-cultural relationships among refugees in Jacksonville, World Relief and Jacksonville Refugee Community Services (JRCS) are collaborating with community partners to create the “All Nations Soccer League”. As the most popular sport in the world, soccer provides a unifying environment that breaks down cultural barriers and fosters lasting relationships, thus encouraging healthy integration by providing the opportunity to build a cross-cultural community.

All Nations Soccer League will provide refugees the opportunity to participate in an affordable, structured soccer league – an option that is currently unavailable to refugees in Jacksonville. The All-Nations Soccer League will be comprised of 8 teams (over 160 refugees) and will start in March 2018.

Donations are essential to help support and offset the costs of the All Nation’s Soccer League (i.e. field rental, equipment, awards, team apparel, and referees). All Nations will connect refugee teams to potential corporate, church, and community sponsors. Please consider donating to bring the All Nations Soccer League to Jacksonville.
