Project Description

To ensure that cancer patients receive the life saving treatment that they need, the American cancer Society offers a comprehensive transportation and lodging program which provides free transportation to/from cancer treatment as well as free and reduced lodging through our Hope Lodge or in partnership with community lodging partners.

Cancer imposes a heavy economic burden on cancer patients and their families. When cancer patients need treatment, such as six (6) weeks of radiation, the cost and difficulty of finding transportation or lodging, if they have to travel away from their home community can present challenges. The American Cancer Society needs funding support from the community to ensure these patient needs are being met.
