Project Description

Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare is the safety net provider for individuals in Northeast Florida who require help to manage their mental illness. Our Hilliard location specializes in helping individuals from the community with the most severe and debilitating diagnoses. The medication taken by these individuals to help manage their symptoms prevent most from being in the sun and enjoying the Florida skies. To help improve their enjoyment of daily activities and overall quality of life, we would like to add a covered, screened-in sun room area to our existing building. This new structure will provide shelter from the sun while allowing our clients to enjoy the cool Florida breeze and fresh air in a safe and secure environment. Clients will be able to use this new sun room to have group sessions, share meals, and other activities of daily living.
